About

Passionate about music from an early age, Théodore Vibert first learned to express his musical ideas at the piano, then on the cello. His interest in cinema soon made him want to bring the two art forms into dialogue. He went on to train at the Conservatoire national supérieur de musique et de danse de Paris, where he studied film scoring. In 2021, he was awarded the Prix SACEM de l’avenir, which enabled him to compose La Chasse du roi bleu, performed by the Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France.
He scored L’Acteur, ou la surprenante vertu de l’incompréhension, a short film nominated for the 2024 César Awards, before reuniting with Raphaël Quenard and Hugo David on their first feature film, I Love Peru (2025), presented at the Cannes Film Festival. He is also the composer of Gang d’Auber, a documentary series by Jérémie Rozan and Jérôme Piallat for Canal+, due to air in December 2026. Alongside this, he regularly writes for live-action and animated short films, including Anaïde Rozam’s Chez Alfred, as well as for films made at La Fémis and Gobelins. His work also extends to theatre, incidental music and electroacoustic composition.
